Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shakar is the American and British sitarist. She won the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and also the first female recipient. Alongside receiving nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the first Indian-born musician to be a presenter and performer at the award ceremony. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is an Indian young sitar artist. She is a student as well as granddaughter of legendary Ravi Shankar. She was born in 1982 in London. The first few years of her life were split in London in London and New Delhi. Her debut performance was at New Delhi when she was thirteen years old. In Encinitas California in 1999, she was awarded a high-school certificate. Although she is still very young Anouskha has an impressive performing and recording career. She is often seen performing together with her dad, and has done so for many years. The singer has released Anourag her debut album on her own in 1998. Two years later she released the Grammy nominated Live in Carnegie Hall. Because she has performed on all the major stages in all over the globe, her performance career is extensive. Her career extends beyond music. She released Bapi The Love of My Life in 2002. It is a biography which pays tribute to her dad Ravi Shankar. Also, in a number of films. In 2003, she acted in the film Dance Like a Man where she portrays an aspiring Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka Shankar is an emerging superstar and her fame is expected to continue growing. Anoushka was a frequent traveler and spent lots of time between London and Delhi throughout her childhood. Later, she moved to California for high school. Anoushka Shankar began her musical studies at the age of nine. Four years later she performed her appearance on the sitar in Delhi for her father's 70th birthday party. Anoushka was able to gain a great deal of experience touring around the globe along with her dad. She performed at Carnegie Hall in her teenage time, and also recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. Her musicianship and talent have been acknowledged by the British parliament as among the finest in Asian Arts.
